Hi, I’m Katie!
I began my career in the animal sector, studying Animal Management and earning a degree in Wildlife Conservation. Over time, my curiosity about behaviour - whether in animals or humans - led me to discover a passion for UX design.
At Parkinson’s UK, I redesigned the Local Support Tool, which was featured on BBC Morning Live for its role in helping people affected by Parkinson’s find local support. I am currently working on several projects, including redesigning the event pages to boost donations and sign-ups, improving the support pages to make it easier for users to find information and assistance, and testing new footer and navigation designs with a focus on responsiveness and accessibility.
For me, design goes beyond what’s on the screen - it's about truly understanding people and creating experiences that connect with their needs.
When I’m not working you will find me…
Walking my dog, Milo, while actively supporting the Parkinson’s UK community.
In October, I took on the Walkies for Parkinson’s challenge, walking 60 miles and raising over £1,000 for Parkinson’s UK.
I thrive on challenges and enjoy staying active and engaged.
Thrill seeking…
I’m all about pushing limits and conquering fears through exhilarating adventures. From rock climbing and skateboarding to skydiving and scuba diving, I’m always chasing the next adrenaline rush. What’s my next thrill? You’ll just have to wait and see!
